Volunteers

A strong and supportive community is an integral part of a child’s essential growth and well-being. Mountain Mahogany Community School thrives due to the efforts of our actively engaged community. At the beginning of each school year, each MMCS family commits to participate actively in their child’s education. Anything a family member does in support of the school counts towards their volunteer commitment of 3 hours per month, including chaperoning a field trip, attending meetings, joining a committee, providing in-classroom support, helping at school events, assisting with fundraisers or attending school curriculum events. Our hope is that these volunteer efforts not only give life to learning, but also connect all of us more closely to the school community.

Note: For the 2020 - 2021 school year, in recognition of the difficulty of volunteering while schools are operating remotely or in hybrid mode, Mountain Mahogany Community School is waiving its volunteer requirement of 30 hours a year. However, we still hold the value of families being involved in the school community and welcome COVID safe ways for families to volunteer.
