Mountain Mahogany Community School is a free public school and admission is by open lottery. If you are interested in enrolling your child at MMCS, you can come to the campus to receive and complete the lottery form or you can download the PDF form and bring it to campus for submission, fax it to us at 341-1428 or mail it to us at Mountain Mahogany Community School, 5014 Fourth Street NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.

Please call our office at 341-1424 to ensure that someone is there to accept your submission, or to follow-up on a faxed or mailed application to see that it was received.  Applications received after our Initial Lottery Draw Date will be placed in a "future lottery" folder.  In the event that we exhaust a waiting list for a particular grade and still have openings in the class, we will draw another lottery with the applications in the "future lottery" folder for that grade.

The Initial Lottery for school year 2010-2011 was drawn on March 1, 2010.  From that we were able to create waiting lists for all grades, K - 6.  If you submitted an application for the Initial Lottery and would like to know where your child/ren are on the waiting list(s), please call the office at 341-1424.

MMCS will serve all children residing within the state of New Mexico. In order to secure a cross-section of the school-age population, the MMCS lottery and opportunity for enrollment are promoted throughout the greater Albuquerque area. Preferential enrollment will only be given to students returning to MMCS from the previous year, students who are returning from an approved leave of absence and to siblings of students already enrolled in the school. MMCS is striving to be a learning community that is rich in racial, cultural, ethnic, class, lifestyle and learning diversity. To this end, we invite all to join our “thinking out of the box” school.
